NASCAR shakes things up and tick people off...but you can't tell by the numbers
The 2003 season was the swan song for Winston and Unocal. It was the year in which William C. France passed the leadership of NASCAR to son Brian, and it was a year in which the champion, Matt Kenseth, won a single race. While there was something of a competitive balance – 17 different drivers won races – Ryan Newman won over 32 percent of the poles and 22 percent of the races.
